Wed, 9/16/15 Update on the County Drainage project - Coral Reef Drive near 82 Avenue - changes to MOT and hours of operation

Ed Silva, Palmetto Bay Village Manager, has provided an update in regards to the Coral Reef Drive drainage project.  

Estimated completion date of the project is the second week of December 2015

Start date of the project has been pushed back to October 5, 2015 to allow for further community out reach

Project completed in three (3) Phases

Phase 1 Construction - SW 152nd ST from SW 83rd AV to SW 82nd AV
Road Closure – 9:30am – 6:30pm  SW 152nd ST closed eastbound  and westbound from SW 83rd AV to SW 82nd AV
Intersection of SW 152nd ST and SW 82nd AV open to vehicular traffic traveling N and S on SW 82nd AV and east of SW 82nd AV on SW 152nd ST daily during phase 1

Phase 2 Construction - SW 152nd ST from SW 80th AV to SW 82nd AV

Road Closure – 9:30am – 6:30pm  SW 152nd ST closed eastbound  and westbound from SW 80th AV to SW 82nd AV
Intersection of SW 152nd ST and SW 82nd AV open to vehicular traffic traveling N and S on SW 82nd AV and west of SW 82nd AV on SW 152nd ST daily during phase 2

Phase 3 Construction – Intersection of SW 152nd ST and SW 82nd AV

Road Closure –  Proposed work to be scheduled on a Saturday with complete closure of intersection, if intersection needs to be closed on a weekday it will be closed from 9:30am – 4:30pm  during phase 3 but it is expected that the work in phase 3 will be completed in a two day time frame.

There will be no open trenches at the end of the work day and all roads will be open to vehicular traffic by 6:30 p.m. daily.
